SGA Represents Students in Campus Governance

Herkimer County Community College’s Student Government Association, SGA, has been meeting on a regular basis to discuss events and decisions that are going on around campus. SGA goes over different things involving the college such as student fees changing, event plannings, and other on campus decisions.

These things were discussed in the meeting on February 26 in the room CA 203 where student government meetings are held. The meeting is run by the officers of the student government which include the president, Olivia Stromecki, and Vice president, Jabari Joyner.

When student government association decides on what decisions are to be made, the members collectively vote on it to be agreed on or not. However, some decisions are outside of their control, like changing student fees and such.

SGA is  a great way to bring up issues with the college you want to be addressed. According to Stromecki, “student government represents your voice.”
