Gaming Club Holding Weekly Gatherings

Gaming Club is a place where you can hang out and play board or video games.  It is advised by Josh Lanza, and every Wednesday he brings in a new game to try out. Also, you can play Super Smash Bros. Ultimate with some of the esports team.

Lanza works as an ASC Specialist in the Academic Support Center. His goal for the club is to “make a place where the people who come to this college can chill and hang out.” He brings many strategy games for multiple people, such as Monopoly, Travelers of Catan, and others.

At a recent meeting, members were playing a game called Scythe. It’s a strategy game where you can farm, get resources, and grow your town or village. As you play and get more and more resources they can be used to colonize other places or take over other players’ bases.

Then there’s the esports team playing Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and anyone can play with them, at any time. The esports team comes to the club to practice and to play games, and they also host small tournaments that people can join.

Meetings are held Wednesdays in room 217 in the RMCC building from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
