The Herkimer Generals men’s basketball team is gearing up for their next opponent. After a series of intentional matchups, The Generals are set to play on the road against the North County Saints on Wednesday, Feb. 18.
Herkimer currently holds a 17-6 record. The team has focused on refining its strategies and improving coordination during practice this week as it prepares them for the away game.
Coaches emphasized the importance of maintaining defensive pressure and creating offensive opportunities to secure a victory on the road. Assistant coach Spud Lee shared his thoughts on the team’s progress and goals for the reason.
“We’re happy about the team this year so far. We’ve got a lot of work to do and a lot of new freshmen, but so far, so good,” Lee said. “Our plans and goals are to win in March, win our last game of the season, and just play our game and stick together.”
Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. Fans who cannot attend can watch the game live on the Herkimer Generals athletics website.
