by For Earth Day, and Earth month, Amnesty International of Herkimer College is sharing opportunities for supporting environmental/human rights connected efforts. In many countries environmental defenders are denied human rights. Amnesty International actively works on environmental cases focusing on protecting activists and defending the right to a healthy environment. Amnesty International’s work includes protecting environmental defenders.
Included in this Earth Day / April update are just a few of the cases that relate to Amnesty International’s on-going work to protect human rights. Some offer opportunities for advocacy, others are updates.
